We are so grateful to all of the friends of the Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen who continue to help our guests through their support. Whether it be through supplying free soup to all our guests every Friday, or making videos to spread the word, we are so thankful to have them as part of the Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen Family.
Tabatchnick Soup signed up to donate soup to Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen so guests can enjoy a full range of rich, handcrafted flavors every Friday.
“It’s a wonderful partnership for us. I volunteered at Holy Apostles with my wife Rita over twenty years ago and I saw firsthand what a well run program it is,” Ben Tabatchnick, CEO of Tabatchnick Fine Foods who was a fourth-generation soup maker, explained.
Tabatchnick donates 500 gallons of soup every week, which saves more than $100,000 on ingredients we would have otherwise had to purchase. Ben also created the Great Soup, Good Cause campaign to help those in need in the tri-state area and Washington, DC.
Sadly, Ben passed away in 2014 but his family continues to be steadfast supporters of the Soup Kitchen. We have created the Ben Tabatchnick Award in his honor, which is given to a dedicated supporter of the Soup Kitchen at our annual From Farm to Tray event.
